«Como sabemos, el “original” de C [Camino] llevado a la imprenta no era un “manuscrito”, sino el texto mecanografiado que hemos visto escribir al propio Autor [2] [...].
»Recordemos que la hoja nº 1, que falta, es la que contenía el título originario del libro (Consideraciones Espirituales) y la dedicatoria a Manolo Aparici. La hoja 2, que tiene arriba la palabra Camino, [...]».
Antes, en la página 83, había escrito:
«En los días finales de la redacción decidió el Autor dedicar el nuevo libro –todavía con el título antiguo: Consideraciones Espirituales– a Manolo Aparici, Presidente de la Juventud de Acción Católica [3]. Así quedaba la hoja 1 del libro:
Unas páginas más adelante (89-90) escribe de nuevo:
«[...] De la conversación de Calatayud salió un título más breve para el libro: sencillamente «Consideraciones», como de hecho se le llamaba en la conversación [...]. En todo caso, el Autor, al regresar a Burgos, elimina la hoja primera del manuscrito [5] y la sustituye por esta otra con el nuevo título y la dedicatoria:
«Hay que partir del manuscrito original, que se acaba el 2 de febrero y día 11 se entrega a Mons. Lauzurica para el prólogo –escribe en la página 97–. En ese breve espacio de tiempo, como sabemos, el libro pasó de llamarse Consideraciones Espirituales a llamarse, sencillamente, Consideraciones. 3.Manuel Aparici Navarro (1902-1963) nació en Madrid. Hombre abnegado y piadoso, de profunda fe, se confesaba con el Autor ya desde antes de la guerra y continuó haciéndolo en Burgos y después. Presidente de la Juventud de Acción Católica en los difíciles años que preceden y siguen a la guerra civil. Ordenado sacerdote en 1947 (vid en AGP, sec A, leg 50-5, carp I, carta invitando al Autor a su ordenación), fue nombrado Consiliario de la JAC. Promovió la famosa Peregrinación a Santiago de Compostela de 1948, cuya «mística del peregrinante» Aparici plasmó en el lema «peregrinar es caminar hacia el Padre». Murió en olor de santidad. Está en marcha el proceso de canonización. –En los días de la redacción de C visitaba frecuentemente al Beato Josemaría y a los que le acompañaban (Diario de Burgos, 20-I-1939); Francisco Botella: «Llega Ricardo Fernández Vallespín, que mañana se va a San Sebastián. Por la tarde viene Aparici. Estos días viene con frecuencia».
4.Botella da la noticia de la dedicatoria en el Diario de Burgos del 4 de febrero: «Ha dedicado el libro al joven-viejo Aparici». Una broma de Paco Botella, que tenía 22 años y le parecía muy viejo, como representante de los jóvenes, un hombre de 37. Efectivamente, en el texto mecanografiado terminado el 2 de febrero el libro aparece con la dedicatoria en la portada. En Madrid el Autor cambió de opinión y le pareció mejor que el libro saliera sin dedicatoria alguna, y así fue efectivamente.
