CONSIDERACIONES ESPIRITUALES

A Manolo Aparici
que tanto sabe
de juventud vibrante
y de apostolado [4].

Unas p?ginas m?s adelante (89-90) escribe de nuevo:

D. Pedro Rodr?guez 1, author of the book Josemaria Escriv? de Balaguer, WAY, Historical Institute Josemaria Escriv?, critic-historical Edition, 2? corrected Edition, June of 2002, Ediciones Rial, S.A., Madrid, writes in page 140:

?As we know, ?original? of C [Way] taken to the press was not a ?manuscript? but the typed text that we have seen write to the own Author 2 [...]. ?

?We remember that the leaf n? 1, that lacks, is the one that contained the original title of the book (Spiritual Considerations) and the dedication to Manolo Aparici. The leaf 2, that has the word above Way, [...]?.

Before, in page 83, he had written:

?In the final days of the writing the Author decided to dedicate the new book -with the old title Spiritual Considerations to Manolo Aparici, President of the Youth of Catholic Action 3. Thus it was left leaf 1 of the book:

SPIRITUAL CONSIDERATIONS

To Manuel Aparici
that as much it knows

of vibrant youth

and of apostolate?
4.

Pages advanced more (89-90) writes again:

?[...] Of the conversation of Calatayud left a brief title for the book: simply ?Considerations?, as in fact [...] were called to him in the conversation. In any case, the Author, when returning to Burgos, eliminates the leaf first of the manuscript 5 and replaces by this other with the new title and the dedication:

CONSIDERATIONS

To Manolo Aparici, that as much
it knows
of vibrant youth
and
of apostolate?
6.

?It is necessary to start off of the original manuscript, that finishes the 2 of February and day 11 is given to Mons. Lauzurica for the prologue ?he writes in the page 97-. In that brief space of time, as we know, the book happened to be called Spiritual Considerations to be called, simply, Considerations. Thus it consists in the two typed versions of the leaf first of the manuscript, that are conserved, both with the dedication to Manolo Aparici. With this title the manuscript to Mons. Lauzurica is given. In both cases, leaf 2, with the words of the Author to the reader, remained untouched?.

?When was retired the second leaf n? 1 ?to the Author the name of Way and that the book nontaken dedication, to replace it, it not become one third translation with the new title [...]?.

1.Doctor in Theology and in Law, Prelate of Honour of Its Sanctity, Professor of Dogmatic Theology in the Faculty of Theology of the University of Navarre and member of the Pontifical Roman Academy of Saint Thomas of Aquino.

2.He conserves himself in AGP, sec. To, leg 54, carp 4.

3.Manuel Aparici Navarro (1902-1963) was born in Madrid. Self-sacrificing and pious man, of deep faith, he get to confession with the Author already from before the war and continued doing it in Burgos and later. President of the Youth of Catholic Action in the difficult years that precede and follow the civil war. Ordered priest in 1947 (grapevine in AGP, sec To, leg 50-5, CAP I, letter inviting to the Author to its arrangement), Consiliario (Ecclesiastical Adviser) of the JAC was named. It promoted the famous Peregrination to Santiago de Compostela in 1948, whose ?mystic of the pilgrims? Aparici shaped in the motto ?to peregrinate is to walk towards the Father?. It died in sanctity scent. It is in march the canonization process. -In the days of the writing of C it visited the Blessed Josemaria frequently and to whom they accompanied to him (Daily of Burgos, 20-I-1939); Francisco Botella: ?Ricardo Arrives Fernandez Vallesp?n, who tomorrow goes away to San Sebasti?n. In the evening Aparici comes. These days it comes frequently?.

4.Botella notifies of the dedication in the Newspaper of Burgos of the 4 of February: ?It has dedicated the book to the young person-old Aparici?. A joke of Paco Botella, that was 22 years old and it seemed to him very old, like representative of the young people, a man of 37. Indeed, in the typed text finished the 2 of February the book appears with the dedication in the cover. In Madrid the Author changed of opinion and it seemed better to him than the book left without dedication some, and thus it was indeed. This leaf n? 1 of the manuscript of C with the dedication to Aparici is in AGP, sec To, leg 50-4, carp 5, exp 4, doc 2.

5. Grapevine supra NT 89 6.

6.This leaf is in AGP, sec To, leg 50-11, exp V, doc 49. Is the back of the document at issue. This cover is, without a doubt, the one that comprised of the manuscript that the Author gave to Lauzurica to make the prologue.

7.This hour, that was, as I say, n? 1 of the consecutive numeration of the original one of Burgos, contained the title of the book, at the top of the page, and in centre the dedication to Manolo Aparici, which we have transcribed, in its double version, supra 5.2 (pgs. 83 and 90).
